Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network (LVHN) seeks a future-oriented, collaborative physician executive for one of our top leadership positions. Reporting directly to the Chief Medical Officer, the recipient of the Leonard Parker Pool Endowed Chair in Medicine will lead a department of over 400 physicians in 16 Divisions within Medicine, and be integrally engaged in the overall management of the network. This is a superb opportunity for a physician with substantive medical leadership experience to combine interests in program development, mentorship, quality improvement, scholarly endeavors and clinical practice. Our network is a fiscally-strong, high-performing, nationally recognized healthcare organization, which includes our premier academic community hospital located on three campuses with over 950 beds, 47,500 inpatient admissions per year, 129,000 emergency room visits per year, and employing nearly 400 of the 1200-member medical staff. LVHN offers 18 residency and fellowship programs, (including internal medicine and transitional medicine residencies and cardiology fellowship). LVHN is a major teaching campus of Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine at Hershey, from which our new Chair will receive an academic appointment. Over 700 medical students rotate through LVHN each year from Penn State and other surrounding medical schools.

MPC Hospitalist / Internist
Muhlenberg Primary Care (MPC), a member of Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network, is looking for another outstanding internist to join its dedicated and dynamic group of 17 physicians and 11 PAs in a well-established yet fast-growing practice. MPC has a total staff of 85 employees, 40,000+ active patients, handles 70,000 annual patient visits and has the network’s highest rate of admittance to Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg, a new state-of-the-art facility located in historic Bethlehem, PA. MPC currently works across three business lines – inpatient, outpatient and nursing homes – and is planning to add others as part of its ongoing growth plan. Although the role is institutionally focused, the flexibility exists to grow your own outpatient practice or remain all inpatient! Either way, take advantage of the opportunity to teach IM residents and PA students. The successful candidate will be a BC/BE general internist or hospitalist. A background in geriatrics is a plus.
